iPixel Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing

A highly effective treatment that can transform the appearance of your skin, helping to reverse the signs of ageing by significantly improving overall skin tone, texture and elasticity. It increases moisture content and reduces superficial pigmentation and pore size. FDA-approved.

Here at Andresa we offer a highly effective iPixel fractional laser treatment for skin resurfacing. Using the new generation of Fraxel Erbium Yag Laser from Alma Lasers we can deliver outstanding results on the skin whilst avoiding long periods of downtime for the client.

Unlike traditional ablative laser resurfacing, this new generation of iPixel laser is much less aggressive on the skin surface, thus minimising redness and downtime.

The depth at which the ablative element of the iPixel penetrates the skin, creates heat deep within the skin to trigger the body’s natural healing response. In turn this stimulates the growth of new healthy skin tissue, including the production of new collagen, to deliver a smoother, firmer and more even skin texture.

Treatment benefits:

  • – Reduces scarring – including acne scarring
  • – Reduces signs of ageing, including fine lines / wrinkles on the face, hands, neck and chest
  • – Skin feels firmer and plumper with an increase in elasticity
  • – Superficial sun damage and hyperpigmentation is reduced
  • – Improves dull uneven skin tones
  • – Refines and softens rough skin texture
  • – Significantly reduces the appearance of enlarged pores
  • – Can be used on the body to treat scarring / stretch marks

Skin Conditions ANDRESA recommends for The iPixel Fractional Laser:

Skin hyperpigmentation is the result of sunlight, environmental factors and the natural ageing process all contribute to the development of brown spots, skin pigmentation and freckles, and are usually of most concern on the face, hands and chest.

Fine lines, wrinkles and the decline in skin elasticity is our greatest motivation to begin treatments to stimulate and reduce the signs of ageing. From the age of twenty-five, the rate of collagen synthesis in the body starts to slow down. With less collagen to support the skin, elastin fibres break down, reducing skin resilience.

Acne can be a painful, long-lasting and distressing condition, affecting the areas of the body that produce oily sebum; namely, the face, back and chest.

The skin on the hands and décolletage (upper chest) are often as susceptible to sun damage and signs of ageing as the face, particularly as they are often inadequately protected when exposed.

What a client had to say about their treatment

Theresa and her team have been absolutely fantastic from the beginning, I can’t fault the service – I only wish I had heard about Andresa sooner.
At the age of 20 my acne aggressively flared up, the university lifestyle after all isn’t the healthiest. I wanted to avoid using Roaccutane (the doctors only suggestion) due to the severe side effects until a friend introduced me to Andresa Aesthetics. The condition of my skin at that time really affected my confidence and made me unusually recluse. I’m now 21 and very happy to say only a year later of following Theresa’s personalised home skin routine, and with a few treatments along the way my skin is now completely clear with little to no scarring – which continues to quickly fade away (despite ignoring some of the dietary and lifestyle recommendations). Had I continued with over-the-counter supermarket products, I strongly believe I would still have severe acne scarring and awful skin. This has brought back my confidence and given a much-needed boost after endless lockdowns. The staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions, even whilst treatments were closed due to the pandemic! I can’t thank Theresa and her colleagues enough for their outstanding work.

What is iPixel Laser?

iPixel Laser is the latest generation of Fraxel Erbium Yag laser. It is an advanced laser skin resurfacing treatment for refining the appearance of the skin on the face, neck, decolletage and hands. It can also be used to improve scarring and stretch marks on areas of the body.

This state-of-the-art technology is superior to previous resurfacing laser techniques. Unlike traditional ablative laser resurfacing this new generation of iPixel laser is much less aggressive on the skin surface, thus minimizing redness and downtime.

The depth at which the ablative element of the iPixel penetrates the skin, creates heat deep within the skin to trigger the body’s natural healing response. In turn this stimulates the growth of new healthy skin tissue, including the production of new collagen, to deliver a smoother, firmer and more even skin texture.

If you are looking to achieve a healthy, more youthful skin and improve the many signs of skin ageing – including brightening dull skin, increasing skin’s moisture levels, reducing fine lines and the depth of wrinkles, refining enlarged pores, improving the appearance of scars or softening rough skin texture – then this treatment may be just right for you.

If you have any intimate jewellery we advise that these are removed during treatment.

How does iPixel laser treatment work?

iPixel is a form of skin resurfacing using an Erbium Yag Laser.

The iPixel directs a short, intense burst of laser energy, in the form of small pixelated light, onto the surface of the skin. This heats water within the surface layers of the skin causing both the water and skin tissue to turn to vapour.

With each pass of the laser, tiny areas (or pixels) of the outermost layers of skin are removed in a precise and controlled way. The surrounding skin tissue is untouched and remains intact.

The process uses the body’s natural healing process to stimulate the growth of new collagen and skin cell renewal to deliver healthy and smoother skin tissue. Because the iPixel can be targeted so precisely, it has fewer side effects than the traditional/previous ablative resurfacing lasers. This makes it suitable for treating skin on the face – including the delicate skin around the eye area, neck, chest and hands with minimal irritation.

Is it suitable for all skin types?

iPixel resurfacing treatment is suitable for most skin types with the exception of Fitzpatrick type 4 – 6, primarily darker skin tones such as Indian, African-Caribbean and African skin.

How many treatments will I need?

We usually recommend a program of 2 to 4 treatments, at intervals of 4 weeks, but this may vary according to your skin condition. During your consultation, we will discuss the number of sessions you will need.

How long do the results last?

Your skin will look better a few days after the treatment, with the results steadily improving over the following six to twelve months. The long-term effects of the treatment are naturally affected by the normal ageing process, which varies from person to person.

For optimal results, after your initial course of treatment, we recommend a top-up/maintenance session every 6 to 12 months.
